Pfizer has implemented a “Direct to Pharmacy” (DTP) Scheme requiring all pharmacies to purchase Pfizer products through Unichem as their logistics provider. AZ has announced plans for a similar scheme routing supplies through AAH and Unichem and it may be that other manufacturers will adopt similar schemes. 

We are conducting a market study to investigate the impact of these schemes on competition in the market. We feel that it would be helpful to the OFT to know how pharmacies feel about these developments.
